Orpha Mae Abner, 88 of Brownstown, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown, Indiana.
Orpha will be laid to rest Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Vallonia Cemetery in Vallonia, Indiana
Orpha was born on May 8, 1930, the daughter of Hugh and Marguerite Tompkins.
She is survived by three children: Brenda Davidson, Danny Abner and Terry Dobbins; five siblings: Hazel Toppe, Nellie Ford, Doris Tincher, Mabel Farris and William "Buddy" (Geraldine) Tompkins; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren
Orpha was preceded in death by both her parents, Sandlin Abner, the father of her children, three children, Barry Abner, Gilbert Abner and Andrew Abner; six siblings, Almeda Tompkins, Leona Tompkins, Carolyn Tompkins, Mary Tompkin, Laura Pearson and Lois Abbott; three grandchildren: Stacey Kirby, Toby Davidson and Dana Abner; a great-grandson, Mark Allen Adkins, and a great-great-grandson Leelan Crain.
Orpha was a member of The First Pentecostal Church of Brownstown, Indiana. She loved her family & church and was well known for her quilting and cooking. Orpha will forever be loved and missed by all who knew her.
