Betty married Richard Rolland Ellis on December 25, 1946, in Greenfield, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on February 28, 1997.
Betty was a long-time member and Deaconess at New Life Assembly of God where she served as President of Women’s Ministry until her health no longer permitted it. Betty was known for many years as the Girl Scouts of Jackson County’s “Grandma”. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing and was a published poet. Her greatest attribute was being a loving mother and homemaker to her large family.
